Hello people!

I have some announcements to make:

I'm changing this website/blog completely!

I'm gonna remove all the personal stuff from this site, and move it to my new site Life of a Sparrow. Everything related to my AnamariaSparrow account on YouTube, will stay on this site, but the stuff related to my LifeOfASparrow account, and my personal life in general, will be moved.

The reason is very simple; I rarely update the site, mostly because I find it way to “baffling” ... and I figured if I turned it into two individual sites, then it would be much easier for me to take care of both and update :)

I haven't made all of my videos downloadable for iPod yet - some of them, because I haven't got them any longer, and some of them, because I haven't had the time yet.

Q: What editing software do you use?
A: I use Sony Vegas 7.0 - there I answered; now there's no excuse to ask me ever again xD

Q: What song did you use in 'xxx' video?
A: I always mention the song somewhere; either it's in the title, in the video description, in the video or in the tags - so you don't have to ask me every single time I make a video.

Q: Where do you download your movies?
A: I don't. I buy the DVD's and rip them on to my computer. The quality is so much better than the movies you download. Technically I don't "rip" them. I decrypt them, and then I convert them.

Q: Could you send 'xxx' song/movie?
A: No, sorry. I don't send people music or movies/clips. It's a process that really gets on my nerves, so I've chosen not to do it at all. If you're a friend of mine I might make an exception, but other than that, no.

Q: In what episode did Rose get married?
A: I've been asked this a gazillion times, so PLEASE now you can stop! Rose doesn't get married in any of the Doctor Who episodes (and if you actually believe she did, you're not a true Doctor Who fan) - the clips of Billie Piper in a wedding dress is from Much Ado About Nothing, a movie Billie starred in.

Q: Can I use the Ron/Hermione kiss you made?
A: Yes, you don't even have to ask - I only require that you write in your video description, that the clip is made by me (and maybe leave a link for my website or channel).

Q: Do you take requests?
A: Well, you can try to write me what you want me to make, and then I'll tell you if I feel it's something I can/want to do.

Q: Sub 4 sub?
A: NO! I hate the whole 'sub 4 sub' concept, don't ask me to do it; it's just a waist of time and space, cause I'll ignore it! I'll subscribe to you if I'm interested in what you'll do next.

Q: Why haven't you answered my comment?
A: If I don't answer your comment; I'm really sorry! It's not because I want to be rude, but very often I don't have the time to write 'thank you' on every single comment, so it's not that I don't appreciate it - I just don't have time to answer all of them.

Q: Could you please help me with 'xxx'?
A: Well, very often I write back to people, when they ask me for help, but I can't promise I'll get back to you in case you do write. It also depends on the question asked. But if you have some patience; I'm gonna make some "Sony Vegas Guidesides" :)

Hey!

So.. things have been a bit weird for me lately – I'm actually thinking of writing a 'book' about it xD lol.. tell me if you want me to :D

Anyways, on the subject of vidding, I just wanted to share some stuff with you, like pairings I want your opinion on, and what songs I wanna use, aaand some previews :P and updates on videos I've been working on forever :-/

So I'm just gonna start with a question!
I'm going to make a video with Hermione, Ron and Cassie (from Skins) ..and I wanted to know if you think I should use her as Lavender Brown or just as Cassie?? I'm gonna use her in a crossover as Cassie no matter what, but I wanna use some scenarios from HBP, so I thought “why not use her as Lavender?!” Would it be weird? Should I maybe just not do it? Or maybe just use the scenes in a video where she's still Cassie???

Oh, and do you have any song suggestions?? :D ..I have a few ideas, but not one where I'm like “wow!!” :-/

1: "Not far from here" - The Doctor & Rose

This is a video I've wanted to make ever since I heard the song for the first time, on the (OneRepublic) cd I gave my mother for her birthday - it just screeeeeams Doctor/Rose to me!! And about the last clip in the preview; I know it looks boring, but of course I'm gonna put some other clips on it :)

2: "Misery Business" - Freja/Simon/Mercedes

This is the newest piece I've made on the video. I don't really know how I feel about it.. I think the thing I like the least about it is aaall that annoying zooming :-/ So I'm probably gonna cut down on that for the last parts I need to make - Oh, and I still have to make 1:30 minutes before the video is done :-/

3: "Stripped" - The Doctor & Cassie

This is a crossover between the two british series' Doctor Who and Skins :) I thought it could be "fascinating" two make a video where the Doctor get's Cassie as a companion.. and this is NOT going to be a love story.. I've written a storyline-thingy:

The Doctor is still devastated after loosing Rose, but life goes on even when you don‘t want it to. He meets this young intriguing blond girl called Cassie. She fascinates him, and he asks her to go travelling with him. She accepts. He discovers she has a lot of problems; she doesn‘t eat, she takes pills, hoping they‘ll make her feel better; she’s lost, and that worries The Doctor. He wants her to get better, and to accept herself for who she is.
Cassie on the other hand thinks nothing is wrong with her, but she sees that something is very wrong with The Doctor - she can see how much he‘s suffering, and she wants to help him.

4: "Time Is Running Out" - Edward & Bella

This is something I don't normally do, but seeing as my creativity is at a low point, I just started making it.. It's a Twilight video - but it's a mix between the Twilight.- clips and real music video.. So this is supposed to be like an "official" video.. but I guess it won't :-/

5: Doctor Who Opening (Skins style!)

not really anything special about this - just longer than the YouTube preview/quality-test. I cut out the part I haven't made yet - and I've fixed the parts that's out of sync.. so don't tell me it's wrong; I know and it's been fixed :D

Hey!

I know I haven’t been updating much lately; I’m really sorry.. I’ve just been really busy :-/
Because I’m unemployed at the moment, I have to go to this ‘jobcenter’ every day … but now I’m in a ‘group’ for the young people, so I’ll have Tuesdays and Thursdays off :D
And the vidding is going really badly; I haven’t made anything for the last week or so, because the charger for my laptop broke :’( and like it wasn’t bad enough the laptop is insisting on building peaks every single time I open a project in Vegas – that takes quite some time with 74 files in s project :-/
I’m hoping I’ll have some videos done soon, but my inspiration-level is still at a minimum, so that probably won’t happen :’/

I gotta go to bed now…

Well, the title sort of does it really.. Just wanted to let all of you know what I’m up to at the moment..

Vidding:

Haven’t really gotten anything done the last couple of days; I finished the ending of CrushCrushFAINT, and made a 7-second piece in the middle - and that’s sort of it :-/ So I should probably say goodbye to the idea of having it done before Sunday the 13th ?!

Fanfics:

After watching the last Doctor Who episode of the series, Journey’s End, I’ve decided that I’ll make a fanfic based on what happens next to Rose and her own ‘brand new’ Doctor - and how it’s like for them, having him adjusting to a ‘normal’ life as a human.
I expect I’ll make videos based on the fanfic, too.. Or at least a trailer for the story ☺

Other projects:

I’ve started a little video project called with the working title “Wall of Randomness” it’s a bit like a Tagged video - but still very far from the Tagging-’concept’ .. it’s really hard to explain.. Hopefully I’ll have it finished soon - even though I just started ;P
Sunday the 13th Cilleh and I will be going on vacation to Disneyland Paris - so I won‘t be on until Saturday, I think :-/ not really sure?! I forgot when we‘ll be getting home..?!

What am I doing right now?

Well, I just finished watching Journey‘s End for the second time - and watched Confidential once ;)

Considered using footage from Journey’s End to make ’happy ending’ in CrushCrushFAINT - but decided that I quite like the ‘disturbing’/unhappy ending I made (woopsie; I just spoiled my own videos ending, didn‘t I??!! Well, there you go - UNHAPPY ENDING!! - ye be warned! xD)

Watching Jon (my boyfriend) looking all cute over there by the other computer - he‘s playing “Lara Croft; Tomb Raider“ xD haha

Hey!

Sorry for not updating in a while :( really sorry!
So, what have I been doing, since I’m to busy to update the site? Well, I wasn’t home in the weekend because I was invited to my boyfriend’s grandmother’s birthday.. So I didn't have a computer! :-/
And the last few days I’ve been going back and forth between the city where my parents are and the city where I am.. Aaand I went to a sneak-premiere yesterday (looking at the time it’s technically the day before yesterday), on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - I didn’t like it as much as the first.. Because of a few things; first… there was no James McAvoy :’( *cries like a baby* I ADORED him in the first movie … second; it was too… messy! To me it felt like the scenes didn’t fit together; can’t really explain it! And then it was just too ‘Lord of the Rings for me :-/ Sorry.. Oh yeah; and I HATED that king guy!! God, he was so fucking annoying!!!

What’s new on the vidding part??
Well, stille working my big butt of on the “CrushCrushFAINT” viddie.. Inproved a few things that I despised in it (one of the things being VERY obvious in the preview, I think!) ..I've made the ending of the video - the last 20 seconds - so I know how it's gonna end, which makes it just a tad easier to figure out what the vide is really about ..or at least I think so :)
..and OH!! I just came up with an idea for a Harry Potter video ;D *YAY* Long time, no see.. Isn’t that great?? An HP viddie??!! I think it’s gonna be a very short video, but still.. Better than nothing.. What else? I’m gonna make a video about Rose Tyler to the song “My Skin” - but I’m not gonna start until the last episode has been shown, because I’ve got the idea, that the episode might change my ideas for the vid 180 degrees…

A quick question:
If I used a Danish song for a video, would you watch it (if I made English subtitles of course) ????

"CrushCrushFAINT" - The idea!

It all started back when I first heard “CrushCrushCrush” by Paramore - I thought; “hey, that would make a nice Doctor/Rose viddie” and then when I started working on it I figured I should make it with a little story. The story was that Rose and the Doctor love each other, but the Doctor likes making Rose jealous, so he uses different women (Martha, Donna, Sarah-Jane, Reinette) to do that, and Rose just wants to be with the Doctor.

Then I heard this little song by Linkin Park called “Faint” and I was like “wow, GREAT song for a video about the Tenth Doctor. So I decided I would make that, but never really got around to it :-/

And then (finally!) this AMAZING song appeared out of nowhere, called “CrushCrushFAINT” and I went all crazy, and thought; “THIS is the song I wanna use” - I wanted to use this song for my next Doctor/Hermione crossover video, cause I’d wanted to do one with a little more speed ever since I finished the first Doctor/Hermione viddie. But then Cilleh told me to do Doctor/Rose to this song, because she didn’t think it would fit. And then all of a sudden I knew what to make… “What if I combine the ideas?” And what I got was this:

The Doctor’s got a new companion - Hermione Granger! Everything is great, but then one day Rose returns from her parallel world, and wants to travel with the Doctor again. She meets Hermione and from that moment on she’s completely jealous of her. But she’s not alone, cause Hermione is just as jealous of Rose as she is on Hermione. And the Doctor doesn’t know who he wants to travel with..?!
Who will the Doctor end up travelling with? His old love or his new love? Stay tuned and watch the video to find out...

Well, my mother gave me some money, so I can buy a new digital camera, my littlesister gave me a jar of DIRT!! xD *Yay, I'm Jack!!!!* Lol, no.. she gave me a jar filt with candy :P lol (give the girl a break, she's nine :P) And my boyfriend is gonna buy me a present when we reach July - but he introduced me to his parents and his grandmother, so that's good :) and Cilleh, my dearest, gave an AMAZING gift! She made a video out of all the footage she had, that I made; old videos, never finished videos, clip resources and upcoming videos, and mashed it up to this great video to the song "Popular" by The Veronicas (which is a song I'm gonna make a video to - about Mercedes from 2900 Happiness) and I just love it.. it's here:

Style description: As I mentioned in The Column (LOL!) I don’t think I have one, but I wrote ‘style description’ myself, so I guess I have to describe the non-existing style it would go like this; Well, I know how to use most effects in Sony Vegas, but many of them I don’t use, mainly because I don’t have the patience to be a ‘great effect user.’ And the videos I make, and have made so far, is pretty random I think - I just make what I feel like making, even though it never really turns out as expected.

Video trademark: Do I have one? Well.. Someone told me that I was great at capturing facial expressions, so I guess that has to be it.

Non-mastered territory: Well, as I mentioned in the style description, I don’t have the patience for being a great effect user, so that must be it! Another non-mastered territory for me would be ‘believing in my creations’ - because I almost never like my viddies :/
Oh, and an effect I’m bad at using would be ‘masking’ - I really don’t have the patience to get it to fit, so you’ll probably never see me using that.

Cookie Cutter: Unlike the masking tool, I do know the Cookie Cutter quite well - I don’t think I’m great at using it, though. However I have seen people who can’t use it at all, so I think I’m okay at it :P

Stealing; styles & stuff

At the moment the subject that’s being discussed the most amongst the fandom vidders on YouTube is stealing and copying. So here’s my thoughts on the subject.
Well, let’s start with me.. I don’t think I’m a stealer or a copycat - I try my hardest to come up with something original, and I think it works out okay.. Even though I may not like the result of certain videos, the vidders and watchers seem to be satisfied. And I know that I’m not perfect - I know that some videos are similar to others, but you know what? Shit happens! Sometimes you hit a wall, and well.. There’s not really anything to do about it.
I bet most of you heard about the Untouched Pandemonium !? Well, I did.. And yes, my Untouched video was in it … I do think in a way BittenFruitTurnsSour are right, but I think the way they put it, makes it sound like were all just a bunch of thieves, stealing Dork23x’s idea - and I’m sorry, but that’s just way to square! I’ve seen maybe the first half of her video, and I’m not trying to step on anyones toes here, but the video did NOTHING for me!! I got nothing out of watching it - and why is that?? I HATE watching Gossip Girl vids - mostly because I’ve never seen the show.. So I didn’t pay much attention to it, and I didn’t even go “wow, what a great song!” .. The moment I had that reaction was when Cilleh (Cillexd) send me the song, and I fell head-over-heals in love with it!
I’m fearing this will make it seem like I don’t like Dork23x - which isn’t the case - but in the BittenFruitTurnsSour video ‘about’ her.. Well, they tell us that she was also the first one to use “Crushcrushcrush” and I’m like “so??” I mean come on!!!! I have so many songs that I wanna use, and some of them haven’t been used for any vids on YouTube yet, but I don’t feel ‘ready’ to use the songs, there for I’m waiting, and I was fine with that - but now waiting means torture - cause if I wait too long, someone else will ‘discover’ the song and use it, and I’ll be the copycat … even though I’ve had the idea for months! :’( is that fair?? Calling me a copycat for using a song, I found before it was used?? I don’t think it is!
Of course I’m not gonna say what songs I’m talking about, because then people will be like “I wonder how that sounds like” and then download it… But take a song like “Map of the Problematique” - I’ve wanted to work with that since I first heard it - which was over a year ago - but I haven’t felt ‘ready’ to do the vid, so I chose to wait - but NOW … now it’s been used by so many people that I’m gonna end up being the unoriginal one - now, I’m the copycat! And I hate that! Cause, let’s be honest - that’s how it’s gonna work in the future - the song originator is the only one who isn’t a copycat! Or at least that’s how it feels.. And that’s not good! It’s really depressing - seriously I’m loosing my feeling for vidding :’( And I hate it! Cause I love vidding..

Hey, I remember!! I have a small problem - at least I think so myself - I don't think I have certain "style" - I really don't.. I think my videos are like, well.. whatever I feel like making. Feel free to correct me, if you do think I have style, I just don't see it myself.. and I won't be accused of stealing somebody's style.. cause I don't think it's possible to steal a style! I mean; some people's gotta have the same style!!!!???

So! New Doctor Who episode... Midnight - did I like it? Hell yeah!!!!! It was really good! Great, actually! I have to say the only thing that got me more excited than the actual episode, was seeing the Next Time trailer after - wow! Rose is really coming back next week - and the Doctor's dead!!! :O oh, God! Turn Left !!! Can't wait !!
Anyways, the episode yesterday; just great! Maybe it's not everyone who gets the same out of it, but it was really creepy! That woman (Sky) taking over peoples voices.. and that, what 15-20 minutes, where you hear two people saying the same thing at the exact same time! Come on, that's creepy!!! And that claustrophobic feeling..! Wow...!! And when the humans reach the conclusion that it's the Doctor's fault, and that he should die too!! ? Wow.. Russell T. Davids really capture humans behavior well! Seriously - that really is how people are - and would be in situations like that!!
Well... and when the music started to be like "oh, somethings gonna happen when we reach the high notes!" and then nothing! So great - you know.. when Sky was told to turn around, and let them see her face, in it was - well... her face!! LOL!!! But then she startes to do that staring thing :/ not nice!
The episode ad the right amount of humor, sadness and creepyness... so really good!! Blink may have been scary, but this... this was so much more!

A fanfic I've started on, but haven't been working on for a while...
It's set after the Doctor meets Donna by accident - so, before Martha, too.. I think this will become my Doctor/Hermione fanfic (Doctor Who/Harry Potter)

It had been two weeks since the Doctor said goodbye to Donna, and now he felt more alone than ever; he didn’t really have the time to think about it back on earth, because he was to busy saving Donna - and the rest of the world. He didn’t know what to make of himself now. He didn’t want to go anywhere, really. All he wanted was to get Rose back, but there was no way.
He missed her so much, oh, so terribly much! And he was never to see her again. He would never get the chance to hear her laughter again, or see her reaction when they arrived at a new planet. And he never got to take her to Barcelona, like he had promised so long ago. He would never again get the chance to tell her that he loves her, and that really killed him inside. He could feel the suffering in both hearts; he had never felt the same kind of agony, and he wasn’t sure it would ever go away.

I know it's not a big deal, but I reached 1.000 subscribers yesterday..
actually 1.003, when the day ended, but still! ... I think it's a bit weird when I'm not really getting that many comments at the moment, but still I've managed to get more subscribers :P lol.. maybe it's just me, but normally I think those two things work a bit together.. :)

This is the 'angry' bulletin I posted on YouTube on May 4th - I posted it as i video the next day, to make sure people would read it..

I'm fucking tired of this; I just found (another!!!!) person who stole clips from a video of mine, to make a video, with the same song, too..
And if that wasn't bad enough, it's not the first time someone steals clips from that video ("Leave out all the rest") to make one themselves.. and when I confront the person who does it, all I get is: "what?? I worked really hard on that video! How dare you say that I stole your clips?!?!” or something like that… and end up getting blocked, unsubscribed, deleted my comment - and having a really bad mood .. It makes me so sad that people feel they have to take my stuff, and are like “well, it’s not like I did anything wrong.”
Yesterday I was informed of (ANOTHER!!!) person who's uploaded one of my videos, without giving me credit!! (NOT that it's okay that anyone re-uploads my videos, but still - DON'T say that you made it yourself!! )
I seriously don’t understand how anyone can think it’s okay, to upload videos that other people have worked their butts of to make!!? People; what the fuck are you thinking??!??!!?!? Get a life!
Really is it THAT HARD to leave our videos alone? I mean - it’s not like YouTube has a pop-up window, that asks you if you want to download the vid!!
I’m just so sick of this! It makes me furious to witness that sort of behaving! I don’t want to be a part of it! If this doesn’t stop - if YOU don’t stop - I will! I’m pretty sure that many of us will!! I’ll delete ALL of my videos - and my account.. And I’ll deleted the downloading option that I have on a few of my vids, too.. And then I’ll just show them to the people that I really trust!!
But seeing as many of you stealers doesn’t seam to be as conscientious as ’normal’ human beings, then why am I writing this?!?! Well, because now (hopefully) you will understand the seriousness of what you’re doing to us! Really - I hope that, at least some of this, will make you feel bad!
And don’t think “Oh, she’s just a drama queen for writing this.” - Ehm, I think NOT!!! ‘Cause I know that every single one of the vidders on YouTube HATE it, when you steal their creation! So stop doing it! Really - STOP!!! Otherwise the threat will become a fact!
